Day 12 of 40 Days of Prayer: "Prayer for Inner Strength"

"I pray that from his glorious, unlimited resources he will empower you with inner strength through his Spirit. Then Christ will make his home in your hearts as you trust in him. Your roots will grow down into God's love and keep you strong."

Ephesians 3:16-17 (NIV)

Let's Pray:

Lord, I pray for (____) that you will empower him with inner strength through your spirit. Then Christ will make his home in (____'s) heart as he trusts in him. I pray also that his roots will grow down into your love and keep him strong. Thank you Lord for giving me verses to pray over (____)! I ask for you to continue to empower me each day as I keep praying for my husband. Thank you so much! In Jesus' name, AMEN.

This verse also assures us that God is the one doing the empowering and we need to get out of his way. Sometimes we can make things worse by trying to help God do his part. God tells us what he wants us to do but we have to be careful not to get ahead of God by "manipulating" circumstances. My husband can smell manipulation a mile away and chances are, yours can too.
