"...Instead, let the Holy Spirit fill and control you."
Ephesians 5:18b (NLT)
Let's Pray:
Lord, thank you so much for hearing my prayers for my husband! Thank you for reminding me that I need to trust in you and know that you are in control. I pray this morning that (____) will let your Holy Spirit fill and control him. Fill his mind with encouraging thoughts. Place in him a desire to be closer to you and to fulfill your purpose in his life. I also pray you will fill my mind with your Holy Spirit and place a deep desire within me to do your will. Thank you so much, in Jesus' name, AMEN.
Wives,
As we continue to pray for our husbands, we should also be asking for God to transform us into the wife He wants us to be for our husbands. If God has been speaking to you about areas where you need to change, I encourage you to give it your best. If you have hurt and resentment in your heart toward your husband; tell God about it. He will not be surprised. Ask him to help you work through it and begin to love your husband no matter how he may have hurt you.
God has helped my husband and I work through some really deep wounds in our marriage. I cannot share specifics but I will say that most marriages do not make it through some of the stuff we've been able to make it through. God rekindled within my heart a new love for my husband. A love even deeper than the deepest of wounds. I don't know exactly how God does it but that's what makes Him "GOD" and not me! All I did was ask, I mean, BEG, for help and be willing to change. YOU can do the same!
